A renowned and respected political affairs journalist of over 35 years, Maria Elvira brings a unique understanding and fresh perspectives to key issues, government policies, and how they impact our community. She is driven by her passion to serve others and is ready to lead on healthcare, mass transit solutions, job creation, education and forging a better and brighter future for our state and our country.

Maria Elvira is a proud mom to her two daughters, Nicoletta and Martina. She is an Emmy-winning journalist who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Miami and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy’s School of Government.
